Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Global Supply Manager to own end-to-end sourcing strategy for vehicle programs. You will negotiate terms, manage supplier relationships and drive multi-generational vehicle strategies with cross-functional partners.

The role requires leading bids, using cost estimates to close gaps, and coordinating with Tier 1 suppliers while maintaining a focus on risk mitigation and process improvements. Onsite in Irvine, CA or Plymouth, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering required.
• 3+ years of direct procurement experience.
• Automotive industry experience and cost estimation knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing: lead mid-to-large vehicle spend projects and drive competitive bids.
• Systems & Process: use SCM systems, issue RFIs/RFPs and place POs accurately.
• Technical Understanding: lead supplier prospecting and monitor market landscapes.
• Negotiations: negotiate most terms and close cost gaps with some oversight.
• Supplier Management: build and maintain Tier 1 relationships and understand sub-supplier footprint.
• Stakeholder Management: collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide detailed forecasting and costs.
• Project Management & Risk Mitigation: lead small-scale projects with autonomy and mitigate risks.
