Rivian is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Supply Management in Irvine, CA to lead a procurement team responsible for end-to-end sourcing of Charging and Adventure Products. You will blend people leadership with commercial execution, driving global supplier strategies and negotiating contracts while partnering with Engineering to meet cost, quality, and production milestones.

This onsite role requires 10+ years in automotive procurement, with strong leadership, strategic vision, and high-stakes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Supply Chain, Business) or related field; MBA/MS preferred.
• 10+ years in purchasing/procurement/commodity mgmt in automotive powertrain or EV sectors, esp. charging networks.
• 3+ years leading a purchasing team in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of High Voltage electronics and procurement regulatory requirements; EV powertrain exp preferred.
• Experience with brand partnerships and strategic collaborations is a plus.
• Experience negotiating high-value components and complex terms.
• Ability to mentor staff, build cross-functional alignment, and influence executives.
• Ability to translate corporate goals into actionable commodity strategies.
• Strong analytics, data-driven problem solving, and forecasting integrity.
• Able to adapt and manage multiple priorities in a shifting environment.
• Experience with Tier 1 automotive suppliers or EV propulsion tech is desirable.
• Willingness to travel 20-40% as needed.

Responsabilités

• Lead procurement team and set performance goals aligned with milestones.
• Oversee end-to-end RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and global sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate high-value contracts, Production Supply Agreements, and tooling terms.
• Own the powertrain budget in collaboration with Finance; drive cost reductions.
• Partner with Engineering, Program Management, and Supplier Quality to ensure manufacturability and quality.
