Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Senior Leader to drive supplier development and operational excellence from our Phoenix/Tempe hybrid site. You will lead a team of supplier development engineers, set performance standards, and partner with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery targets.

The role requires 6+ years in supplier development or related leadership, strong budget and project management skills, and expertise in Lean Six Sigma and quality control.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in supplier development or related leadership roles.
• Budget management, financial acumen and project management skills.
• Lean Six Sigma, supplier relationship management, engineering principles and quality control.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and team management abilities.
• Ability to apply tactical and strategic principles when working with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of supplier development engineers and professionals.
• Establish and enforce supplier performance standards and collaborate with suppliers for improvements.
• Create a partnership with suppliers to enable growth across multiple platforms.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce cycle time and surge capacity as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, Quality and Production.
• Create metrics and charts to show supplier growth and health; maintain RAIL milestones.
• Travel to multiple locations within the continental US and globally to meet suppliers.
