Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to drive supplier performance and quality improvements across multiple programs. You will work with Global Sourcing, Engineering, and customers to lead process improvements and supplier qualification efforts.

The role requires broad technical experience with electrical and mechanical products, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Travel up to 25% is expected, supporting critical supplier initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years combined of Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management, or Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience in performing production readiness & rate readiness reviews/assessments.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Experience with project management and Kaizen facilitation.
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of leadership.
• Willingness to travel, up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement projects and events to streamline supplier performance.
• Develop positive relationships with Global Sourcing leaders to manage changes, capacity studies and NPI transitions.
• Research external market information to identify potential sources and drive supplier selection.
• Assess supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity, and fulfillment.
• Drive improvements utilizing Lean methodologies, supplier scorecards, and supplier assessments.
• Track supplier performance indicators to ensure targets are met.
• Support manufacturing of complex parts by providing technical supplier support.
• Review manufacturing processes to ensure parts meet drawings and specs.
