Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Development Engineer to lead the supplier development team and drive performance improvements for high-quality heat exchanger packs. The role reports to the Senior Director Supplier Development Engineer and can be based in Phoenix, AZ or South Bend, IN with a remote-friendly schedule.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in supplier development or related leadership role.
• Budget management and financial acumen.
• Deep knowledge of supplier development strategies, SRM, and quality control.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supplier development strategy aligned with goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of supplier development engineers.
• Establish and enforce supplier performance standards and assess suppliers.
• Drive innovation and cost-saving opportunities in supplier processes.
• Foster and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Identify resources for supplier capability building.
• Assess and mitigate supplier-related risks and disruptions.
• Track issues in Jira and drive solutions to shortages or manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure project success.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and act with urgency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to team members.
• Read and analyze engineering drawings and support drawing changes.
