Job summary

MPI is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead a major ground-up military construction project in Charleston, SC. You will direct on-site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on a $22M project on a secure military installation.

You will mentor on-site teams, partner with project management, QC, and safety personnel, and help drive the company's regional expansion across the Carolinas. Travel across NC/SC is required as projects progress.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of superintendent experience in commercial construction.
• Extensive ground-up construction experience.
• Experience managing site work, concrete foundations, structural construction, and multiple trade partners.
• Proven background delivering highly regulated projects with strict process and compliance requirements.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout North and South Carolina following project completion.
• Stable career history demonstrating long-term tenure and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities for ground-up building projects from mobilization through closeout.
• Coordinate and manage all subcontractors, trades, vendors, and field personnel to ensure schedule, quality, and safety goals are achieved.
• Oversee a $22M ground-up military construction project located on a secure military installation in Charleston.
• Enforce government, military, and project-specific standards, specifications, and compliance requirements.
• Direct daily site operations, logistics planning, sequencing, and trade coordination activities.
• Partner closely with project management, quality control, and safety personnel to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage and mentor an on-site team including a Quality Control Manager and Safety Manager.
• Conduct site meetings, progress reviews, and schedule updates to maintain project momentum.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract requirements.
• Support future projects throughout North and South Carolina as the company expands its regional presenece.
