Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Superintendent to lead on-site construction efforts in the Washington, DC area for complex electrical and security projects. You will drive safety, schedule, and coordination with owners, design teams, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires 7+ years in construction, CPM scheduling proficiency, and experience managing teams on site. Travel may be required and certifications in access control or video management are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience.
• At least seven (7) years in the construction industry.
• At least two (2) years' experience managing construction projects as a Superintendent or Project Foreman
• Experience working with management systems such as scheduling, job cost reports, estimating, safety, documentation requirements, and quality control.
• Experience overseeing monthly job cost updates, productivity reports, and cash flow projections; CPM scheduling proficiency.
• Must have history of completing projects under estimated hours.
• Requires flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends.
• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate and integrated project plan with the project team.
• Interpret plans and contract terms to staff and clients.
• Direct daily activities to align with the plan and monitor progress.
• Supervise foremen and electrical technicians and ensure safety and quality.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations; coordinate with other contractors.
• Monitor cash flow and profitability to support project success.
