Job summary

IPS-Integrated Project Services seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead field activities on complex life sciences construction projects in Emeryville, CA. You will oversee specific trades, manage subcontractor performance, and ensure on-site safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will support senior leadership in preconstruction, planning, and closeout, coordinating with project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Project Delivery or a related discipline.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work on client sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead specific trades on assigned construction sites to ensure progress aligns with project goals.
• Promote safety objectives and ensure compliance with project safety plans.
• Coordinate with Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Senior Superintendent to develop and maintain execution plans.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including durations, sequencing, and resource needs.
• Review subcontractor work for quality and contract compliance and assist in change control where needed.
