Job summary

IPS is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager for a site-based role in Emeryville, CA. You will lead construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to budget.

You’ll collaborate with the Project Director, Senior Project Manager, and field teams to drive successful outcomes on life sciences facilities. The role requires a strong construction background, rigorous safety/quality focus, and proactive client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Project Delivery or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate significant industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractual requirements, project specifications, and design drawings.
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, procurement, billing, and cash flow projections.
• Conduct progress measurement, earned value analysis, schedule updates, and change management reporting.
• Prepare project documentation, including meeting minutes, monthly reports, and applications for payment.
• Oversee contract administration, punch lists, warranty review, and as-built documentation.
• Monitor project resources, maintain scopes of work, and communicate expectations across the team.
• Track and report on project costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and field conditions.
• Build and maintain client relationships and participate in schedule, safety, and quality oversight.
• Collaborate with Project Services on cost management and support safe project execution through coordinated site oversight.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required to support successful project delivery.
