Job summary

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a Senior Superintendent to join the Project Delivery and Construction team in Emeryville, California. The role involves leading specific trades on-site, coordinating field operations, and supporting multiple project leadership roles to ensure progress and safety.

You will oversee subcontractor/vendor activities, maintain schedules, manage budgets, review submittals, and support preconstruction and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Project Delivery or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead specific construction site activities, including specific trades, and manage parts of the field operations on projects.
• Support the Project Director, Project Manager, and Construction Manager for oversight of work progress, subcontractor manpower, and correct work coordination between the trades.
• Assist with ensuring subcontractor and vendor work is completed safely and in compliance with the contract documents and project schedule.
• Develop and maintain preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with durations and sequencing logic.
• Oversee the work of vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements.
• Review submittals and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
