Job summary

Barringer Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead our Asheville-area jobsites with discipline, heart, and a craftsman's eye. You’ll be the steady hand in the field, driving safety, quality, and client experience from the first pour to the final walkthrough.

As a Superintendent, you’ll own daily field leadership, coordinate trade partners, read plans, manage schedules, and mentor junior staff while upholding Barringer’s standards and the Barringer Way.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and client experience.
• Proven leadership of field teams and trade partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations and set safety/quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors to the project schedule and scope.
• Read and interpret plans and specs; solve on-the-fly issues.
• Communicate clearly with clients, occupants, PMs, and design teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite reflecting Barringer.
• Manage look-ahead schedules and trade sequencing.
• Document daily progress, deliveries, and field conditions.
• Mentor assistant supers and field staff.
