Clune Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead field execution for commercial interiors, healthcare and mission-critical projects in Chicago. You will manage field teams, coordinate with owners and design partners, and drive safety, quality and on-time milestones.

The role requires 10+ years of experience in large-scale construction, BS in CM/Engineering/Architecture, and a track record of leadership across multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting business development through client interviews, project pursuits, recruiting efforts, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead preconstruction planning including sequencing, logistics, phasing, staffing, procurement, and execution plans for large, complex projects.
• Direct field execution by coordinating Superintendents, field staff, and trade partners to ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality projects.
• Champion safety, QA/QC, and OSHA compliance across projects.
• Drive field coordination and constructability with PMs, design teams, owners and trades to resolve issues.
• Oversee master field schedules, look-ahead planning, critical path milestones, and recovery strategies.
• Manage field productivity, labor planning, scheduling impacts, procurement constraints and project risks.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships to ensure satisfaction throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead project turnover and closeout including commissioning, punch lists, inspections, owner training and turnover docs.
• Develop and mentor field leadership by coaching Superintendents and Engineers.
• Complies with all policies and performs other duties as assigned.

• Maintain exceptional client satisfaction by communicating progress and resolving issues.
• Oversee turnover and closeout activities including commissioning, punch lists, training, and documentation.
• Mentor field leaders to build the next generation of site leaders.
