Clune Construction is seeking a seasoned construction professional to lead field operations on commercial interior, healthcare, and mission-critical projects in the Chicago area. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time delivery, with an employee-owned culture and strong client collaboration.

The candidate should have 6–15 years of project management experience, a BS in construction/architectural/engineering fields, and a track record of coordinating multiple trades to achieve project

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering preferred.
• 6-15 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare and/or mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Support project pursuits and preconstruction planning with client presentations and high-level schedules.
• Lead preconstruction and field planning with phasing plans, site logistics, and execution strategies.
• Lead daily field operations, coordinate trade partners, manage manpower, and drive schedule performance.
• Champion safety, quality, and operational excellence by promoting safety culture, leading safety meetings, and QA/QC.
• Coordinate trade partners and field execution, monitor productivity, and ensure materials and labor availability.
• Manage short-term schedules, milestones, progress tracking, and recovery plans.
• Mitigate field risks by making timely constructability decisions and trade coordination.
• Build and maintain strong client/project team relationships through clear communication.
• Lead project closeout and turnover with punch lists, inspections, and turnover documentation.
• Develop field teams by coaching junior staff and fostering a collaborative culture.
