Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee field execution on two hyperscale data center buildings on a major mission-critical campus. The role requires national travel and direct leadership of field teams from mobilization through turnover.

You will drive safety, schedule, quality, and coordination among MEP specialists, subcontractors, and client teams, ensuring on-time delivery across both buildings and the campus schedule.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Significant hyperscale data center / mission-critical construction experience.
• Experience leading field operations on large-scale data center projects.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations across two hyperscale data center buildings.
• Lead Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field teams across both buildings.
• Drive safety, schedule, quality, logistics, manpower, and production.
• Coordinate closely with General Superintendents, Project Executives, Project Managers, MEP leadership, and client teams.
• Manage sequencing and coordination between both buildings to maintain overall campus schedule.
• Drive accountability across subcontractors and trade partners.
• Oversee complex MEP installation, commissioning, turnover, and phased delivery.
• Lead short-term planning, site logistics, field coordination, and look-ahead scheduling.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or production.
• Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and execution across both buildings.

A Top 10 ENR National General Contractor is looking to identify a Senior Superintendent to oversee field execution across two hyperscale data center buildings on a major mission-critical campus.

This is a national travel role with responsibility for managing day-to-day field operations across both buildings, leading superintendent teams, coordinating trade partners, and driving execution from mobilization through commissioning and turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee field operations across two hyperscale data center buildings
• Lead Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field teams across both buildings
• Drive safety, schedule, quality, logistics, manpower, and production
• Coordinate closely with General Superintendents, Project Executives, Project Managers, MEP leadership, and client teams
• Manage sequencing and coordination between both buildings to maintain overall campus schedule
• Drive accountability across subcontractors and trade partners
• Oversee complex MEP installation, commissioning, turnover, and phased delivery
• Lead short-term planning, site logistics, field coordination, and look-ahead scheduling
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or production
• Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and execution across both buildings

Ideal Background:

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience
• Significant hyperscale data center / mission-critical construction experience required
• Proven experience leading field operations on large-scale data center projects
• Experience overseeing multiple buildings, major scopes, or large superintendent teams
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning, turnover, and critical path scheduling
• Experience managing large subcontractor and trade partner teams
• Background with a nationally recognized General Contractor preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel nationally

Candidates must have direct data center construction experience to be considered.
