Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a SUE Field Technician III in Knoxville, TN. The role involves designation of utilities using geophysical methods, managing 2D/3D mapping projects, and coordinating with clients, utility owners, and field teams.

The position requires leading crews, maintaining safety certifications, and travel as needed. Strong knowledge of ASCE 38 guidelines and field supervision is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods.
• Experience leading SUE QL-A & QL-B field crews preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designate all utilities using geophysical equipment and field survey methods.
• Maintain safety certifications as required.
• Lead SUE QL-A/QL-B mapping projects with small crews.
• Operate surface geophysical equipment for 2DB & 3DB mapping.
• Coordinate with clients, utility owners, and field services.
