Job summary

T2 Utility Engineers, Round Rock, TX, invites applications for a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Field Technician III role. The position is full-time with rounds in Round Rock, TX, offering a salary range of $25.00–$30.00 hourly.

Join a leader in utility locating and contribute to accurate utility mapping and project safety while supporting field crews. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years as SUE Field Technician II, strong reading of utility prints, and the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a SUE Field Technician II.
• Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only).
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation (U.S. only).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Operate SUE locating equipment to accurately map utilities within the project area.
• Complete detailed daily reports and field sketches, electronically or by hand.
• Supervise daily SUE field crew activities and train others.
• Represent and communicate on behalf of T2ue with client, sub-contractors, and third parties during field activities.
• Maintain, clean, and operate vehicles, equipment, tools and supplies.
• Facilitate Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings and Day-to-Day safety checks.
• Perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members.
• Drive commercial motor vehicles; CDL not required.
• Direct safety setup for proper traffic signage.
• Complete monthly equipment inventory for supervisor reorder.
