Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the execution of multi-disciplinary utility projects in the United States. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships across the full project life cycle.

The role requires 15+ years of relevant experience, strong leadership skills, and ability to work across teams. Expect 10–25% travel and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Project Management of Utility, Construction, Engineering, or other relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in capital project management.
• Experience with serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities is critical to success.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Comfortable with approximately 10-25% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of multiple transmission, substation and distribution projects.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to manage the life cycle of capital project execution.
• Own all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience.
• Direct the project team to ensure accountability; mentor and coach team members.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with client leads and stakeholders.
• Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support reporting of KPIs for schedule, budget and dashboards.
• Identify and control construction risk and change.
• Prepare reports and communicate project information clearly to meet client requirements.
• Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
