Job summary

Southern California Edison seeks a Substation Test Senior Supervisor to lead Test Technicians in the SC&M division of T&D. You will plan daily assignments, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate capital projects and ISO inspections.

The role requires at least four years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a technical field. On-site work in Palmdale, with possible travel to Valencia, CA, is expected.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of combined experience in design, construction and maintenance, and/or scheduling activities for electric systems.
• Experience with supervising test and field crews in substations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, programs and performs daily work assignments in a safe and productive manner.
• Interprets, trains, and implements compliance with corporate policies, safety rules, and procedures.
• Maintains SC&M safety strategy, including keeping Test records in SAP and resolving labor inquiries.
• Orders and procures materials, tools and equipment for substation maintenance and testing.
• Remains on-call after hours and on weekends to supervise Test crews during emergencies.
• Coaches, mentors, and develops employees and handles grievances.
• Maintains training on hazardous materials handling for Test activities.
