Qualifikationen

• ABET-accredited B.S. in electrical engineering with a power emphasis.
• PE license and at least 8 years of progressive substation experience.
• Experience designing protection and control for 15kV–500kV substations.
• Knowledge of protection systems; ability to specify devices.
• Ability to develop drawings: wiring diagrams, relay protection, control circuits.
• Familiarity with IEEE/ANSI/NEC codes.
• Mentor junior engineers; effective cross-team communication.

Aufgaben

• Direct protection and controls engineering for 15kV–500kV substations.
• Develop design packages: one-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics.
• Establish protection strategies and relay coordination.
• Guide development and integration of control tech, remote monitoring, network infra.
• Evaluate calculations, design documents, and submissions for accuracy.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design challenges.
• Coach engineers and promote consistent engineering practices.
• Support upgrades, replacements, and new substations throughout projects.
