Job Description: Senior Substation Protection & Control Engineer

Leidos is seeking a Senior Substation Protection & Control Engineer to design substation protection and control projects for electric utilities ranging from 12kV to 500kV. This role offers exposure to power generation, including renewable energy integration, and requires knowledge of digital logic design, AC and DC circuits.

Location: Hybrid options available in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities include:

• Design relay one-line diagrams, three-line AC schematics, and DC protection schematics.
• Create panel layouts and wiring designs.
• Develop bills of materials and conduct quality control checks.
• Support projects from scoping through implementation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 4+ years (Senior level) or 8+ years (Lead level) of protection and control design experience.
• Experience with substation protection/control projects and drawings.
• Strong communication, analytical, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred: US citizenship, EIT or PE certifications, CAD experience, and field testing/commissioning experience.
