We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Protection & Controls Substation Engineer to join our team remotely. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing electrical protection and control systems for substations, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-voltage substation equipment, project management, and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop protection and control systems for high-voltage substations.
• Manage projects from conception through commissioning, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Perform detailed calculations related to relay settings, system coordination, and fault analysis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and standards.
• Utilize SCADA and other monitoring systems for operational oversight.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
• Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in protection and control systems within substations.
• Proficiency in SCADA systems and high-voltage protection schemes.
• Experience managing the full project lifecycle.
• Strong analytical skills for system calculations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely.
• PE license preferred but not required.
