Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited's Grid & Power Quality Solutions and Service team in Europe is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to drive tendering and execution of complex, high-value substations (offshore and onshore) exceeding $100m. The role is UK or Ireland based with remote work and European travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power systems engineering (HV/MV) with offshore experience.
• Experience acting as Technical Lead on large-scale tenders or projects.
• Knowledge of BIM methodologies.
• Strong collaboration in multicultural environments.
• Proactive, result-oriented, able to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, reliability.
• Strong communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical support for tendering and execution phases of customer projects.
• Develop HV/MV/LV power supply system architecture and sizing calculations.
• Serve as technical lead for engineering design across multi-country units and teams.
• Participate in project review meetings and technical assessments.
• Ensure all technical documents meet quality and standards.
