Job summary

WSP USA in Colorado seeks a Senior Lead Substation Project Engineer to join our Lakewood office. You will lead electrical design and project execution for substations, with responsibility for technical delivery, QA/QC, and client coordination.

This role offers on-site, hybrid, or remote options based on location, experience, and business needs, and requires a PE license, 10+ years of relevant experience, and strong leadership across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
PE license preferred or multi-state licensure.
10+ years in electrical design for power generation, transmission and distribution.
Strong leadership, QA/QC, and cross-discipline collaboration.

Responsibilities

Lead multi-site substations design and execution.Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
Develop schedules, budgets, and deliverables for substation projects.
Review studies, calculations, and vendor documentation for compliance.
Support proposals, client communication, and project reporting.
Ensure adherence to safety, QA/QC, and industry standards.
