Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Lead Substation Project Engineer in Lakewood, CO to lead design, analysis, and execution of power substations for utility-scale projects. On-site, hybrid, or remote work options are available based on location and business needs.

You will supervise engineers, perform QA/QC, prepare technical reports, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards while collaborating with clients, regulators, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced project leadership.
• PE license or multi-state licensure preferred.
• 10+ years' design and construction experience in substations and power systems.
• Experience with design software and codes in utility scale work.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-site substation projects from concept through commissioning.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and design exhibits for clients.
• Provide QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with standards and safety policies.
• Mentor engineers and designers, guiding scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and vendors to align project goals.
