NextEra Energy seeks a Senior Engineer to lead high-voltage substation projects from scoping to commissioning. You will coordinate with EORs, suppliers, and internal teams, and provide technical direction and risk management.

Expect 25% travel, mentorship of junior engineers, and development of engineering standards. A PE license or EI/FE certification, ABET-accredited degree, and 5+ years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL).
• Master’s degree in Engineering, if the bachelor’s degree is not in a pure engineering field.
• ABET-accredited engineering program required.
• 5+ years post-Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Aufgaben

• Serve as technical lead for complex, high-value substation projects through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout.
• Coordinate with external EORs and consultants, ensuring designs comply with standards and codes.
• Lead reviews of drawings, calculations, and specifications to resolve issues.
• Own major equipment procurement strategies, bids, vendor selections, and supplier problem-solving.
