WSP USA is seeking a Lead Substation Project Engineer to join our Power & Energy Substation Team in Foxborough, MA or Freeport, ME. You will provide high-level technical leadership for multi-site electrical utility substation projects from concept through commissioning.

The role requires 7–10 years in substation engineering, strong knowledge of P&C interfaces, protection and control design, and the ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget while collaborating with owners,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 7–10 years of post-education electrical engineer experience on substation projects.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong knowledge of protection & control interfaces and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical guidance for multi-site substations and projects.
• Coordinate, review, and approve substation design packages for various scopes.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques to concept through commissioning phases.
• Lead and mentor engineers/designers; ensure QA/QC across deliverables.
• Support field visits, client coordination, and documentation for projects.
