WSP is seeking an Early Career Civil Engineer (Substations) for our Freeport, Maine office. You will assist in the design, development, and construction of electrical substation projects across public and private sectors.
Join our Power & Energy team to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with seasoned engineers, and contribute to safety, quality, and efficiency in project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
- 0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.
- Familiarity with design/build concepts and civil construction practices.
- Knowledge of civil construction laws, codes and permitting processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and documentation from site surveys, plans, and GIS data.
- Support design, development, and construction of electrical substation projects.
- Perform basic engineering tasks and ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Prepare concise documentation and maintain project records.
- Contribute to field observations and site condition assessments as needed.
- Support project teams to meet schedules and client objectives.
