Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Entry Level Substation Electrical Engineer for its Freeport, Maine office. You will join the Power Delivery Substation Team to contribute to detailed substation design and related activities in a growing, client-focused firm.

You will develop skills in one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, grounding, and yard layouts while supporting QA/QC and occasionally traveling to project sites. Strong English communication and safety mindset are required.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BSEET degree, preferably with a power option.
• 0-1 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Commitment to safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of LV to HV substations.
• Create one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Develop SCADA, communications, and grounding plans.
• Produce foundation, structural, and control enclosure designs.
• Support QA/QC and travel as needed.
• Learn and adhere to client standards and processes.
