Impellam Group seeks an experienced Planner to develop and execute complex construction and maintenance plans for transmission line and substation projects. The role requires deep hands-on familiarity with substation equipment and field operations, plus the ability to lead teams, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure safe, compliant work programs.

Travel to sites with a personal vehicle is expected, mileage reimbursed, and adherence to NERC standards is required.

Formación

• 10+ years of transmission line or substation work experience.
• Hands-on experience around substations.
• Experience planning and coordinating substation work.
• Knowledge of substation equipment operation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with line and substation engineering data systems.
• Experience installing, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting line/substation facilities.
• Ability to interpret drawings and clearance documents.
• Strong communication and leadership under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and sequence complex construction and maintenance activities, including outage sequences and temporary facilities installations.
• Develop and define project construction plans for areas of expertise.
• Coordinate with Transmission, Distribution, and Generation leadership to resolve technical matters.
• Review and critique isolation procedures and project sequencing.
• Identify clearance boundary requirements and mitigate risks with close margins and contingencies.
• Lead teams to ensure accurate paperwork and timely file submission.
• Provide peer‑level technical support for line and/or substation maintenance or construction.
• Ensure NERC compliance and accurate data completion.
• Support project management and project teams with technical expertise.
• Travel to sites with personal vehicle for on‑site planning and coordination.
