Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Protection & Control Engineer to provide technical leadership within our Power and Energy practice. You will lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers while delivering high-voltage substation protection projects.

You will act as the technical authority for protective relaying, control systems, SCADA integration, and automation, ensuring quality and client satisfaction on complex projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required.
• PE license is required for this leadership role.
• 15 years of related experience in power/system protection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV substation protection and control projects.
• Serve as technical authority for relaying, control, SCADA, and automation.
• Develop and review protection deliverables: schematics, wiring, relay settings.
• Lead power system studies and protection coordination analyses.
• Mentor engineers, manage performance, and ensure client satisfaction.
