Job summary

WSP USA seeks an Experienced Substation P&C Engineer to join our Duluth, GA team. You will support design and construction of utility-scale substations, focusing on protection and control, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel documentation.

You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines, develop calculations, and ensure compliance with IEEE/ANSI/NESC standards while delivering high-quality design deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of post-education experience in substation P&C design.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Clear communication in English, written and spoken.
• Experience delivering control schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel docs.
• Knowledge of IEEE/ANSI/NESC and utility standards.
• Proficient with design software and power system tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review substation P&C designs and deliverables.
• Support protection and control diagram development (single/three-line).
• Prepare electrical calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams for project delivery.
• Assess site conditions and constructability in designs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Contribute to technical documentation and design reviews.
• Assist with small to mid-scale substation projects under senior staff.
