Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Supervising Substation Engineer in Madison, WI. You will lead engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable substation projects with a focus on quality, schedule, and profitability.

The role requires a PE license, 15+ years in substation engineering, and strong coordination across project teams. Travel and office-based work in Madison are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and ability to obtain license if needed within one year of hire.
• Minimum 15 years in the electrical power industry with substation experience.
• Experience managing design teams and coordinating with other departments.
• Strong knowledge of 138 kV and above systems and NEC/NESC/IEEE/ANSI standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Oversee profitability, quality, and schedule performance of engineering teams.
• Coordinate design and construction efforts across multiple projects.
• Assign projects based on requirements and personnel availability.
• Ensure adherence to project standards and safety practices.
• Prepare schedules and budgets and monitor progress.
