Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and designers in substation physical design projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.

You'll mentor staff, coordinate resources across offices, interface with clients and management, and drive standards, tools, and process improvements while serving as a key technical leader on multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in substation physical design engineering.
• Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams, including mentorship and performance management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills interfacing with clients, management and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers, and drafters across multiple concurrent projects.
• Provide technical oversight, ensure designs are accurate and compliant with standards.
• Coordinate resources, workload and priorities to meet delivery commitments.
• Engage with clients and management to discuss strategy, issues and resolutions.
• Contribute to proposals, estimates and change orders; monitor budget, schedule, and quality.
