Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Lead Engineer - Physical to design multiple substations from 12kV to 500kV, applying NESC, NEC and IEEE standards. You will lead design execution, serve as Engineer of Record, and mentor engineers and drafters.

This role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree, and 6+ years of substation physical design experience, with strong leadership for cross-project delivery and client coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation physical design across multiple projects with full technical ownership.
• Serve as Engineer of Record (PE stamping) of deliverables.
• Guide engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure standards, quality and constructability.
• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure integrated design packages.
• Lead client communications, design reviews and change management.
