Job summary

Actalent is seeking a senior Substation Engineering Leader to oversee technical direction, mentoring, and quality for electrical substation projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, and scope, coordinating with teams and customers to ensure successful delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in substation protection/control, 4+ years in leadership, and a PE license or eligibility. This role is fully remote with a permanent placement based out of Oklahoma City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience engineering and managing electric substation protection and control systems projects.
• 4+ years of experience leading or supervising a technical design or engineering team.
• Professional Engineering license, or the ability and willingness to obtain a PE license within an agreed timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and training in Substation Engineering to the department and mentorship to Leads.
• Establish, monitor, and maintain quality control standards for design services standards and products.
• Monitor and maintain budgets and schedules for all projects and workflows.
• Develop and/or review conceptual project scopes and communicate scope to stakeholders; provide cost estimates.
• Directly manage Leads and individual contributors in the department.
• Interface with customer to drive business processes and resolve inefficiencies.
