Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineer 3 in Arizona to join the Power Delivery Engineering group. The role involves leading design, QA/QC reviews, and collaboration across civil, structural, electrical, and environmental teams on transmission and distribution projects.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of experience, a B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, and a P.E. license. Occasional travel and a focus on client satisfaction are expected as part of project execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Experience in substation design and protection/control up to 500 kV is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform QA/QC reviews for substation and protection and control systems up to 500kV.
• Develop and revise drawings: one-line diagrams, schematics, grounding plans, layouts, BOMs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex energy infrastructure projects.
• Develop control and relay panel specifications and project criteria documents.
• Support business development and client relations.
