Mesa seeks a Senior Substation Protection & Controls (P&C) Engineer who’s ready to lead protection and control design for clients across the United States. You’ll be the licensed engineer on the team, guiding designs from scoping through energization within our Power Delivery Substation group.

This role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited EE degree, and 8+ years of transmission substation P&C experience for 12kV to 230kV+ systems, with strong AutoCAD and Bluebeam skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET Accredited).
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 8+ years of transmission substation P&C design experience (12kV–230kV+).
• Expert with protection design fundamentals and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection & control design for single-line/three-line diagrams and associated package deliverables.
• Review, stamp, and seal P&C drawings and calculations as the PE on the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multi-discipline packages with other groups.
• Lead design reviews, kickoffs, and scope discussions with utility clients.
