Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. seeks a senior engineering leader to mentor engineers, specialists and technicians and serve as a technical expert in SEL equipment and solutions across focus areas.

The role involves researching and developing new solutions, reviewing scopes and budgets, and leading project management, training, and customer installation and commissioning of engineered solutions. They expect up to 80% travel and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or an applicable discipline.
• 12+ years working knowledge and experience of electric power systems or equivalent transferable knowledge.
• Expert knowledge in area of focus.
• Excellent technical training and skills.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 25% of the time.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
• Negative drug test result(s).
