Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer – Substation in the United States to lead and execute complex substation projects. You will collaborate with Project Engineers, Designers, and client teams, ensuring high-quality engineering outputs across multiple specialties.

You will develop protections, study models, and SCADA settings while applying IEEE, ANSI, and NEC standards. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-Accredited program.
• Strong proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering work packages under direction of a Project Engineer.
• Coordinate technical activities with Engineers, Designers, CAD Technicians and vendors.
• Develop calculations, models, settings, databases, and BOMs for the assigned specialty.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, codes, and client specs.
• Lead defined work packages, mentor less-experienced staff, and manage risk.
• Support scope development, estimates, and technical approaches.
