Job summary

American Electric Power seeks a Station Engineer role within the Transmission System Operations Engineering (TSOE) organization. You will support compliance with NERC and industry standards related to configuration changes to the transmission grid.

Responsibilities include providing engineering support to Transmission Field Services in commissioning and verification of planned and unplanned work on the transmission grid, reviewing outages, and ensuring as-built records align with system

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required for SG6/SG7 levels.
• PE license or eligibility encouraged.
• Master's degree may accelerate entry into SG7/SG8 levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to Transmission Field Services in commissioning and verification of planned and unplanned work on the transmission grid.
• Review outages for configuration changes.
• Review engineering drawings and project information to ensure records match as-built system conditions.
• Perform root cause analysis on discrepancies to identify process improvements.
