Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in P&C or Physical Substation Design to join a reputable consultancy with over 800 power-focused professionals. This company has a significant pipeline of High-Voltage Substation projects with major utilities across the US and requires a PE-licensed engineer to stamp drawings and perform technical substation designs. The position has the ability to be 100% remote.

About the role:

The role entails taking charge of design leadership, with the expectation of executing design tasks independently. The candidate must possess the ability to discern client needs, coordinate technical endeavors within specialized domains as needed, oversee design budgeting and scheduling, and showcase proficiency in these realms. Experience in high voltage transmission system protection schemes and relay programming for utility or generation clients is required.

Responsibilities

• Designing documents and drawings for new substation projects, including:
• Single line relay and metering diagrams
• AC and DC schematic diagrams
• Bills of materials
• Field mark-ups of project as-built drawings
• Specifying parameters for current and potential transformers
• Performing Quality Assurance design reviews for all Protection and Control documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years in substation P&C design
• Strong written and verbal communication
