Head of Power Delivery / Power Generation

Lead Protection & Controls Substation Engineer will lead the design, coordination, and implementation of protection and control systems for high-voltage substation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions in the power delivery sector.

Technical Leadership & Design Execution

• Lead the design and development of P&C systems for substations (69kV–500kV).
• Develop protection schemes, control logic, and SCADA integration for substation equipment.
• Prepare detailed engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay panel layouts.
• Perform short circuit studies, relay coordination, and arc flash analyses.
• Specify protection relays, control devices, RTUs, communication equipment, and related substation components.

Project Management & Coordination

• Oversee all P&C engineering activities from conceptual design through commissioning.
• Review project scope, schedule, and budgets; track progress and ensure deliverable quality.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and physical design teams to ensure system integration.
• Manage vendor relationships, review equipment specifications, and approve shop drawings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in substation P&C engineering
• Familiarity with NERC, IEEE, and IEC standards related to protection systems
