Mott MacDonald in the United States seeks a Senior Engineer to join our Substation Physical team. You will lead substation design projects, oversee technical documentation, and coordinate with a multi-discipline engineering group.

Qualified candidates have a BE with 8+ years, be a Registered Professional Engineer, and know AutoCAD and CDEGS/WinIGS. The role offers a hybrid in-office schedule in Boston and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years of substation design experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer is required or eligible.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and CDEGS/WinIGS is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review, and management of technical documentation for substation projects including conceptual and detailed design, specifications, and studies.
• Produce thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and drawings.
• Plan, organize, schedule, coordinate, and monitor work with multi-discipline team members.
• Review design work for compliance with scope and QA/QC requirements.
• Provide design activities in accordance with codes, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to internal standards and tools.
• Support business planning, development, and training.
• Manage projects through design and construction including RFI responses and equipment submittals.
