Job summary

Baltimore Gas and Electric, part of Exelon, is seeking a Senior Engineer in Substation Design Standards within the T&S Projects & Standards Team. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for substation design standards across 13kV to 500kV, updating documents and collaborating with multiple groups to ensure safe, cost-effective designs.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, PE license and 7+ years of experience, with strong analytical skills and knowledge of industry standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; PE license preferred.
Strong ability to analyze complex electrical and mechanical systems.
Thorough knowledge of applicable standards, codes, methods and practices.
7+ years of professional engineering experience.
Experience leading multi-discipline teams or serving as SME.
Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for T&S Design Standards for 13kV–500kV systems.
Be the point of contact for material application and design standards questions.
Collaborate with vendors and multiple engineering groups to implement standards.
Review, update and apply internal/industry design standards and practices.
Provide technical training, mentorship and guidance to others.
