Job summary

Exelon’s T&S Projects & Standards Team seeks a Senior Engineer to maintain and advance substation design standards from 13kV through 500kV. You will serve as design authority, review specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure safe, cost-effective practices.

You’ll lead multi-discipline teams, mentor staff, and interface with IEEE, EPRI and other groups to implement improvements. A PE license, B.S. in Engineering, and 7+ years of substations experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; PE license preferred.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience in substations/high voltage.
• Knowledge of standards, codes, methods and practices; strong problem-solving skills.
• Graduate degree or MBA can reduce required on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for T&S design standards for 13kV–500kV substations.
• Point of contact for material design questions and standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and field groups to implement standards.
• Provide technical training, mentorship, and peer reviews.
