Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Substation Design Standards Specialist to maintain and develop design standards across 13kV to 500kV levels. You will act as SME for HV/physical design, collaborate with internal teams and external partners, and help ensure safe, cost-effective substations.

You will lead design standard implementation, mentor others, and engage with industry groups to introduce improvements. A PE or equivalent degree enhances eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or PE licensure.
• Strong ability to analyze complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of standards, codes, methods, and practices in substation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for T&S design standards for 13kV–500kV substations.
• Be primary point of contact for material design and standards questions.
• Collaborate with vendors and multiple engineering groups to set and apply design standards.
• Lead multi-discipline teams and provide technical training and guidance.
• Interface with IEEE, EPRI, EEI, MEA to introduce improvements.
