Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Physical Substation Designer to perform advanced engineering technician functions with minimal supervision. The role requires strong knowledge of electronic applications, standards, and document control processes in support of delivering accurate designs.

Qualified candidates typically hold an Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering design technology and have 8–15 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 8-11 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Function in a senior level engineering technician capacity with minimal supervision.
• Perform advanced functions requiring knowledge of electronic applications, standards, and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to other engineering professionals including delegation of work assignments.
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
