Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead substation design and project coordination in a hybrid work environment.

The role focuses on protection and control design, BOM preparation, and collaboration with clients and vendors to deliver high voltage substations. Senior-level experience and PE license are preferred, with strong mentorship duties and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience in electrical/substation projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design coordination and provide guidance to project teams.
• Develop protection and control design deliverables for high voltage substations.
• Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with clients, vendors and subcontractors on project activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development activities.
