Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Substation Engineer to develop design deliverables for high-voltage substations (13kV–765kV) under the supervision of a licensed PE. You will contribute to design and construction processes, adapting plans to budget and client needs.

You will prepare design packages, perform electrical studies, support field inspections, and assist with proposals and client communications while collaborating with project teams to meet schedules and QA/QC requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration in team environments.

Responsibilities

• Develops substation design packages for high-voltage projects.
• Supports project from conceptual phase through construction.
• Performs electrical studies including grounding and protection analyses.
• Prepares estimates, specs, BOMs and QA/QC compliant deliverables.
• Supports field inspections and client presentations.
