Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking a Substation Engineer III / Senior Engineer to design and develop transmission and distribution infrastructure across Arizona. You will apply expertise in substation design, engineering analysis, and problem-solving while collaborating with a safety- and quality-focused team.

Qualifications

• Four-year ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent.
• Engineering degree must be from an accredited College of Engineering Program.
• Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares engineering plans, designs, analyses, specifications, cost estimates, and evaluations compliant with standards and regulations.
• Interfaces with customers and departments to meet objectives, budgets and schedules.
• Provides technical guidance to engineers and project teams to improve performance.
• Oversees engineering programs and coordinates cross-organizational actions.
